Bernard Mc Glinchey Park, opened in 1999.The theme of the park is Peace. There is a Garden of Remembrance in the park. It is a tribute to the members of the Gardai, who had sacrificed their lives in service of the United Nations. There are herbal gardens, flower beds, tree lined alleys, playing grounds, bowling grounds and various entry points in the park. There is a stone bench in the Park built as a honorarium to James Duffy (VC). The bench was unveiled on 10th July, 2007 by the former Mayor of Letterkenny Ciaran Brogan. The Park is the venue for several Parties and the Park Festival. In this festival, every August, the local bands perform. The French Market also takes place here every year. In 2007 a Levity II Luminarium opened in the park. It is an inflatable atmosphere with a participative sculpture made of translucent vinyl.
