Since  February 2007, The Tourism College, Killybegs has been designated as a school of Letterkenny Institute of Technology.  

LYIT’s second campus at Killybegs Campus  offers a wide range of culinary, hospitality and tourism programmes at different study levels, which range from degree to continuous professional development courses. The degree programmes have a strong international focus combined with business, management and enterprise. They have an excellent international reputation for supporting innovative and creative students with impressive facilities and talented, enthusiastic staff.

 Killybegs Harbour is a safe, all weather natural harbour situated on the northwest coast of Ireland.  this natural harbour provides a perfect gateway to the Atlantic Ocean. .

Killybegs is approximately  a  1 hour drive from Letterkenny. Killybegs is the hometown of the world renowned artist Kevin Sharkey as well as the birthplace of the inventor of the harpoon gun, Thomas Nesbitt. 

There are 3 local airports within 1.5 hours of Killybegs. Belfast international airport is 2.5 hours away & Dublin international airport is 4 hours away
